Planning a Disney World wedding that will impress your friends and family involves a lot of planning because you aren’t going to settle for a cookie cutter event. I’ll share some tips with you that I use when working with my clients when they plan their Disney Weddings!

1. SELECTING A VENUE (OR VENUES)
With so many venue options at Disney World alone, you may be overwhelmed by all of the choices. Most of my clients make a list of what venues they prefer but when it comes to a wedding at Disney, you will want to keep your top choices flexible (or your date/time). Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings does over 1200 weddings a year and they have to strategically plan each one between those couples, the venues, multiple event options, and working around the park’s guests…which is the priority. Some clients find that if they are flexible on the date/time, they can get their preferred venues! This is when knowing the ins and outs of the process comes in handy!
2. CHOOSING THE PERFECT THEME
The fun part of a wedding at Disney is you can theme your events as you wish! Some venues are very neutral and you can keep the theme simple and non-Disney or you can take your favorite story or characters and take things over the top. I’ve seen a classic Mickey theme, Cinderella inspired decor, and even an old Hollywood theme without any Disney characters! The choice is yours!

3. IT’S IN THE DETAILS
If you want to take your wedding over the top, consider incorporating iconic Disney elements like characters, food, and music that fit your theme. Reception and dessert party center pieces and table scapes can be a great place to add a touch (or more) of your theme! Firework dessert parties are my favorite way to wow your guests! And by having your events inside the parks, you’ll get to take advantage of the park’s breathtaking scenery for unforgettable photo opportunities during your events…and don’t forget to book your Park Portrait Session!
4. FINDING THE RIGHT TEAM
Planning a wedding at Disney requires working closely with Disney’s wedding planners to be sure what your want can be done. Most people don’t know they can also work with me to ensure every detail is just right. As a Destination Wedding Planner, I know what it takes to plan a wedding away from where you live and I help guide my clients through the complicated process to make the planning process enjoyable. I work along side Disney’s teams to keep my clients on track, educated, inspired, and reassured so their wedding is as magical and unique as they envisioned.
